My Mother's (Rose Alma Hall Libby) memories

She was born in 1896.  Both Benjamin Delano Hall (paternal grandfather) and Albert Cressey(Creasey) Maternal Grandfather lived with her family in a big old farm house  in Mt Vernon, Maine.  Also she remembered her paternal grandmother Rosilla Jane Cumner Hall.  She had many memories of her grandmother.  One concerned her brother Benjamin Albert.  As everyone knows he really loved animals.  When he was little she would take him up in the attic of her house and help him catch BATS.  She was a great lover of animals also.  She would keep her kitchen cats in the house part of the time and made crocheted balls for them to play with.  This was in a time when people did nothing for their cats.  They kept them in the barn.  She was also an accomplished seamstress and made all Benjamin D (her husband) clothes for him.  He had a widows hump (Kyphosis) Cheryl) on his back and could not buy cloths to fit him properly.  After she died he lived with Florence and Herbert at the Cressey Farm where Mom and Albert and Roy grew up.  He also had a favorite saying "inside outereds"  (inside out.)  Mom remembered him very fondly.  More next time.  Your Hall Genealogy insider
